Responsible for scheduling surgical cases according to scheduling guidelines and current block schedule using faxes, emails, telephone and other incoming communication mechanisms as appropriate. The Surgical Scheduler is responsible for surgical scheduling for department providers, oversight and coordination of block time, and working with operating room (OR) schedulers to optimize provider OR time and schedules.
